Cinematic Sound Radio:
Ep. 23 — Film, TV, and Video Game Music Re-Recordings
On this week’s episode of CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO, we will be shining the spotlight on film, TV and video game re-recordings…or as James Fitzpatrick of Tadlow Music likes to call them “new recordings of previously existing scores.”
Off the top of the program, and to celebrate its 30th anniversary, we are going to be playing music from James Horner’s classic score to James Cameron’s ALIENS.
You also hear new recordings of music THE TOWERING INFERNO by John Williams, THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS by Trevor Jones and Randy Edelman, and TARAS BULBA by Franz Waxman and THE BIG COUNTRY by Jerome Moross.
Our video game album of the week is THE GREATEST VIDEO GAME MUSIC ALBUM featuring newly recorded suites from THE ELDER SCROLLS V: SKYRIM by Jeremy Soule, SUPER MARIO GALAXY by Koji Kondo, SUPER METROID by Kenji Yamamoto & Minako Hamano and LITTLE BIG PLANET by Daniel Pemberton.
We’ll end the program with four listener submissions including LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, VERTIGO, JAWS, and THE LAST STARFIGHTER.
