Cinematic Sound Radio:
Ep. 24 — Really Long Tracks!
Today's show is a grab bag episode. I was on vacation last week and wasn't planning on producing a program but I managed to find some time to myself and literally threw this program together in 5 hours. I decided to focus on REALLY LONG TRACKS. I've done shows like this in the past. I did 12-minute long tracks for my 12th-anniversary show and 15-minute long track for my 15 anniversary. This week I decided to play tracks that are 16-17 minutes in length – tracks that are no shorter than 15 minutes 59 seconds and no longer than 18 minutes. The premise sounds weird but trust me... the music is GREAT!
The six scores you will hear are THE DARK KNIGHT by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard, POLTERGEIST by Jerry Goldsmith, THE MISSING by James Horner, THE ADVENTURES OF CONAN: SWORD AND SORCERY SPECTACULAR by Basil Poledouris, SON OF THE MORNING STAR by Craig Safan and the Academy Award-winning score for THE RED VIOLIN by John Corigliano.
